ANGELES CITY -
Councilor Atty. Bryan Matthew C. Nepomuceno submitted a proposed ordinance
granting amnesty on interest of delinquent real property taxes for the City of
Angeles.
Nepomuceno, a
member of the committee on Finance and Appropriations,and Ways and Means, said
that the meassure is inteded to aid the City Government in its efforts to
collect unrealized revenue from unpaid real property taxes. This revenue
measure will increase the City’s ability to implement meaningful projects and
deliver social services.
Nepomuceno also
said that he hopes the Ordinance will encourage real property owners to pay
their outstanding real property taxes. Furthermore,
The proposed
ordinance would likewise bring back previously delinquent real property owners
into the practice of regularly paying their real property taxes.
